Toshiba has come up with a new series of USB 2.0 Portable Hard Disk Drives. The primary feature is that it offers 1-click system backup. The other notable features include Password protected Encryption, Scanner and scheduler. It can be customized to Windows platform as well as Mac platform.
The drive includes two in built software – NTI BackUpNow and EZ. This allows for a very simple and time consuming way to have a backup of the entire system. It also allows for the System restore function without the need to reboot the system. It also offers a Password protection feature that includes 1 256 bit encryption key. There is also another feature named Drive Space Alert that monitors the memory level of the drive and warns the user if the free space is running low. Since the unauthorized access can be completely prevented, any kind of sensitive data can be stored in this drive.
It has a memory of 320 Gb or 500 Gb and are powered by USB 2.0. It is comparatively smaller in size and it is incorporated with internal shock sensor and anti-slip footpads to prevent the hard disk from any physical damage. It is available in various colours as shown. Though there are only a handful of features, it is a very good buy considering the sub 100$ price tag (for the 500 Gb variant).
