Porsches answer to Ferrari’s Enzo was the Carrera GT. It came to the streets in 2004. After years of research, Porsche came out with the Carrera GT. The V10 engine used in this car came out of lots of research and Porsche has done lots of work for this engine. The car was produced in limited numbers. Porsche produced the car only for two years and production was stopped due to newly introduced air bag regulations.

Porsche produced a total of 1270 Carrera GT’s with 604 being sold in the United States. Porsche claimed a top speed of 330kph and 0-100kph acceleration time of 3.9 sec. It is a car inspires by the old Porsches and Le Mans. In the two years of its production, even limited editions using carbon fiber were made. The spoiler appeared automatically when the car crossed speeds in excess of 110kph. It remains concealed till then. The ignition system is present in the left of the steering wheel like more Porsches. It features huge disc pads and 19 inch wheels in the front and 20 inch wheel son the back. Porsche has hit back the Enzo by producing the correct supercar and pricing the GT below the Enzo it has surely hit its mark.
